What's going on at BNE Kids

Hello, families and happy November!

October was a great month full of exciting things! On the 22nd we hosted our annual Harvest Festival, that brought families and people of all ages to BNE for a fun-filled afternoon with trunk-or-treat, fried dough, goats, games, and more! We rounded off the month with a Pancakes and Pajamas Sunday, serving all of our children in BNE Kids breakfast and having a fun and relaxing morning together!

What Your Kids Are Learning

Nursery

In October, our unit was "Thank you, God, for my home." This entire Fall season, our nursery class is has a focus on thankfulness and God's blessings.

Preschool

In October, our unit focus was on Moses! Our preschool group learned about Moses through the stories: God sends frogs, God lead Moses, God gave Moses and His people food, and God gave Moses the 10 Commandments.

Elementary

In October, our unit was called a "Finishing Strong", focusing on faithfulness and faith in Christ. In our weekly lessons, we are introduced to Timothy and Paul’s charge to him to remain faithful even in the midst of opposition. Through Timothy, we are reminded that God prepares His people to do every good work. We see this further exemplified in our journey through the Book of James as we discuss the need for faith with works in our lives. Our final two sessions probe the glorious return of Jesus and a beautiful reminder of what we have to look forward to, for all eternity, in a new heaven and new earth.

Follow the Star

December 8, 2023

The holiday season you do not want to miss the true holiday experience. At Bethel New England on Friday, December 8th from 4 to 8pm we will be hosting a walkthrough drama called Follow the Star. Come hear the angel choir, witness the new born Jesus, and hear the bleating of the sheep in the fields of Bethlehem (technically the parking lot of 750 Stevens Street in Bristol Ct). A Christmas wonderland experience with coffee, tea, hot chocolate and tons of Christmas cookies rounds off this awe-inspiring moment for all ages.

Groups of 20 will be entering the walkthrough in ten minute increments. The entire walkthrough will last 45 minutes per group.

Cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children and youth ages 5-17, and children 0-4 free!
