Your Gifts Continue to Change This Church

Christmas is such a wonderful time of year. I enjoy everything from the crisp, cold air to the possibility of a fresh snowfall and the winter darkness illuminated by the warm color of Christmas lights adorning homes, trees, and bushes alike. For believers, it’s a season of hope in what usually would be a drabby time of the year - the hope the Bible speaks of for the Christmas season is Jesus!
At BNE, we want to celebrate this season with you in a few notable ways.
Evangelism
Follow the Star is an excellent way of enjoying the Christmas story to refresh your soul, and it’s a fantastic opportunity to invite people to hear the Gospel in a way that appeals to all their senses. This walkthrough drama consists of 8 scenes played by actors from our church community accompanied by interactive elements like games and live animals, and it concludes with a reception in our gymnasium, now a winter wonderland.
(December 8, 2023 - tours start at 4:00-8:00 p.m., leaving every 10 minutes and lasting 45 minutes).

Giving
Yearly, we have the Gift for Jesus, an annual Christmas offering), where we meet the needs for our church or missionaries by an extra special gift during the holiday season. In the last few years, we have collected for the following:
2019 - Investment in the church’s media department (lighting and other technological updates)
2020 - Nursing mother’s room, missionary Thierry Mugabe, & Spanish Translation Headsets
2021 - Establishing a church plant on the island of Bonaire
2022 - Establishing a creative trauma help center for Ukrainian Refugees in the Ukraine
THIS YEAR - 2023 - We have worked on many things behind the scenes to help us be a stronger BNE. Our investments into our building and ministries cost us $20,000 more than what we budgeted for, and we need your help in closing the gap of 2023 to help us move into 2024 seamlessly.
